DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY

Charlotte County declared a local emergency, effective as of Monday, March 16, 2020 at 4:28 pm, in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

LOCAL INFORMATION


Effective May 29th, everyone inside a business open to the public is required to wear a face covering or mask in accordance with Executive Order Sixty-Three with exceptions as noted in the Order.

Additional operational procedures designed to protect public health are in place and those visiting County offices are asked to abide by these procedures for the protection of themselves, County employees and others.  


County staff will continue to serve citizens by telephone, e-mail or fax during normal business hours.  Due to continuing concerns regarding COVID-19, citizens are still encouraged to contact County staff by these methods whenever possible to conduct necessary business.

PUBLIC NOTICE

All businesses, including farms, located in Charlotte County are required to submit to the Charlotte County Commissioner of the Revenue by August 1st a listing of the equipment and/or inventory owned as of July 1st.  If you have questions regarding this requirement or completing your listing, please contact the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office at 434-542-5546.

  OFFICE SPACE FOR RENT

Charlotte County is currently advertising a commercial office for rent in the Town of Charlotte Court House. The space consists of approximately 875 square feet on the Court House Square with off street parking. $600/month plus utilities.
