DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY

Charlotte County declared a local emergency, effective as of Monday, March 16, 2020 at 4:28 pm, in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

For the latest information and public health guidance regarding COVID-19, citizens are encouraged to see the following websites:

LOCAL INFORMATION


Effective May 29th, everyone inside a business open to the public is required to wear a face covering or mask in accordance with Executive Order Sixty-Three with exceptions as noted in the Order.

Additional operational procedures designed to protect public health are in place and those visiting County offices are asked to abide by these procedures for the protection of themselves, County employees and others.  


County staff will continue to serve citizens by telephone, e-mail or fax during normal business hours.  Due to continuing concerns regarding COVID-19, citizens are still encouraged to contact County staff by these methods whenever possible to conduct necessary business.

Charlotte County is currently advertising a commercial office for rent in the Town of Charlotte Court House. The space consists of approximately 875 square feet on the Court House Square with off street parking. $600/month plus utilities. 6:00 pm - Board of Supervisors and School Board joint work session for the Phase II PPEA project for Bacon District and Phenix Elementary Schools.  Work Session will be held at Central Middle School, 250 Statesman Drive, Charlotte Court House, VA.

Immediately following the Board of Supervisor's Joint Work Session with the School Board - Board of Supervisors' special called meeting to consider approval of tower leases associated with the County's Emergency Services Radio Communication System.  This meeting will be held at the County Administration Office, 250 LeGrande Avenue, Suite A, Charlotte Court House, VA.
