Charlotte County's Clerk of the Circuit Court manages the records for the Judicial Circuit and serves as the County's general record keeper. In addition, the Circuit Court Clerk issues marriage licenses. As general record keeper, the Circuit Court Clerk records & maintains all documents relating to land transfers, deeds, mortgages, births & deaths (for the years of 1852 & 1853 only), wills, divorces and other statistics that date back to 1765.
