The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is now
accepting applications for Full-Time AND Part-Time Male and
Female Jailors. Applicants must be able to work all shifts,
which are to include weekends and holidays. Applicants must
be 21 years of age, must have a high school diploma or GED
equivalent, must be skilled in computer operations, and must
possess good writing and communication skills. Applicants
will be required to attend and complete a Twelve-Week Basic
Jailors Course at the Central Virginia Criminal Justice
Academy in Lynchburg, VA, which consists of written
examinations, as well as extensive physical and self-defense
training. Applications are available at the Charlotte
County Sheriff’s Office. Jobs will be opened until filled.

accepting applications for a Road Deputy position.
Requirements are as follows:
- Must have a
high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be
in good physical condition.
- Must be skilled in
computer operations.
- Must possess good writing
and communication skills.
- Will be required to
attend and complete a twenty-four week Law Enforcement
Training Course at the Central Virginia Criminal Justice
Academy, Lynchburg, VA, which consists of written
examinations, as well as extensive physical and self-defense
training.
- Must be 21 years of age.
