Join us for our annual Celebration of African
American History, sponsored by the
Central High Museum.
Rev. Willie Tisdale of South Hill, Virginia will be the
guest speaker. Music will be provided by the SMG
Combined Gospel Ensemble Choir. Come dressed in your African
attire or come as you are. The program is free to the
public and everyone is welcome to attend. Dinner will
be served following the program. |

Home Educator's Day at Red Hill |

Red Hill's Annual Home Educators’ Living History Day is
geared for children ages 8 to 10 years old, although
children younger and older benefit and can participate
in the hands-on experience of 18th-century life.
Programs can rotate among spinning and weaving,
blacksmithing, pottery, a walking tour, Colonial
medicine, basket making, tin punching, and rope making.
Families will be able to visit each station available at
their leisure. Living History ends at 12:30 and families
can eat their packed lunches on the grounds. After
lunch, please feel free to walk the trails, visit the
historic buildings again, or head home. Advance
registration is required. Adults/Chaperones are $6/each,
Children 4 and up are $5/each, and Children 3 and under
are free, but tickets must still be reserved for them.
Tickets are non-refundable. This is a rain or shine
event. After purchasing tickets, a confirmation email
will be sent to you. Please email info@redhill.org with

Museum. Guests include Dr. Yemaja Jubilee, "The

Professional Recording Artist, Khi Felder and Aheem Rah,
African Drums, DJ "Al-B"(Al Brogdon) and Others.
There will be hot dogs, burgers, fish, cole slaw, baked
beans, soda, and water for sale.
The Museum will be open for tours and vendors will be on
